正宗老店-恭和堂

下到吉隆坡的时候，很多时候我都会踏进这一家店稍作休息。
在茨场街也好，在其他购物广场也好，我们心血来潮的话就会走进去了。

在炎热的天气，如果在恭和堂吃上一，两口的龟苓膏是多么幸福的事啊。。。 历史悠久的恭和堂，店中贩卖的凉茶帖帖都是老祖宗流传下来的经验与智慧。

据恭和堂的介绍，龟苓膏原本是清朝宫廷的药方，清末年间，太医严绮文告老还乡后，为了帮助当地农民作为消暑解毒，因此这帖药引便流传到民间。

不知道以前清朝皇族吃的龟苓膏跟我们现在吃的同味道吗？？

这里的龟苓膏，大碗的是RM10，小碗的是RM8。。。虽然是贵了些，可是给我感觉就是很正宗。

这里的龟苓膏不像我们在其他地方吃的，其他地方是甜的，可是这里的却是带苦的。
所以，服务员都会为我们递上一壶的蜜糖。 

我喜欢吃龟苓膏的原因除了因为可以消暑解热，第二就是因为它低热量，低脂肪，低干固醇，所以不怕吃了会肥哦！

但是女生请注意哦，龟苓膏属清凉解毒的食品，月经期妇女不宜食用，脾胃虚弱、食欲不振、腹泻的人者也不宜常食。

另外，龟板有兴奋子宫的作用，可能导致流产，孕妇不宜食用。一旦出现腹痛、食慾不振、腹泻等情况，亦应当立即停用。

其实在恭和堂还有卖凉茶，他们称为 “王老吉”， 一杯是RM2。
这里的凉茶很苦，很正宗。
曾经有个很贴心的服务员还为我递上一颗糖果来送口，真的很贴心。

告诉你们哦，在恭和堂工作的服务员很多都是aunty， 也就因为这样，他们都比较亲切以及随和的。所以我觉得，这家是很有人情味的店。

Thanks God It's Friday

Went to T.G. I. Friday's (Wangsa walk outlet) last week. 

This is first time I've been there, sound like I am ignorant  (katak di bawah tempurung), right?

T.G.I Friday's  is an international chain focusing on casual dining, with over 1000 restaurants in 58 countries. Famous for fresh food and mouthwatering American classics, from appetizers perfect for sharing, to memorable burgers and delicious desserts. 

As a student, I felt that the price for this restaurant  is a bit expensive, but I did enjoy there because of the friendly waiters and waitress.
I will let you know why later. 

Lets take a look on our food first.

 

Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Quesadillas, RM 20.90

The flour tortilla is packed with sauteed chicken, tomato-basil mix, beef bits and oozing with Monterey Jack cheese. They coat it with Parmesan and pan-fry it to a crispy, golden brown, then drizzle it with balsamic glaze. 

But my friend said that I spend RM 20++ just to eat  something like "roti canai", OMG...T_T

 

Tennessee Chicken, RM30.90 

Two juicy chicken breasts basted in a sweet, savory glaze. Served with seasonal vegetables, cheddar cheese mashed potatoes and Tennessee sauce.

 

Chicken Fingers, RM24.90

 Hand-battered chicken tenders, golden fried and served with crispy fries. Honey Mustard dressing for dipping.

 

Fish & Chips, RM 25.90 

Three portions of fish fillet battered and fried to golden brown. Served with crispy fries and tartar sauce.

 

Sizzling Chicken and Cheese, RM 30.90 

A sizzling skillet of onions and peppers together with garlic-marinated chicken breast over melted Colby and Jack cheeses. Served with cheddar cheese mashed potatoes.

 

Chicken and Shrimp Diablo Pasta, RM28.90 

Tender, seasoned chicken and shrimp sautéed in olive oil, then blended in a fiery tomato Diablo sauce. Served on linguine pasta with freshly-grated Parmesan cheese.

I like the friendliness and passion of the workers there. I think this is also the uniqueness of T.G.I Friday's especially if you are having a birthday celebration there.

First, they rang the bell or make some noises. After that, there are staffs about 4-6 people will come right in front of  our table and sing birthday song to birthday boy. The manager/ representative reacquired the birthday boy to stand on the chair and give some speech . Next we sang  birthday song to the birthday boy. After blow the candles, they ( the staffs there) sang some song of unknown language to us.

Although the price at this restaurant is a bit expensive, it is a place that provides an environment where families and individuals can have a good time and great experience.

Pikom电脑展2011

 活动：Pikom  PC Fair 2011

吉隆坡都快成为我第二个宿舍了。

在吉隆坡的这几天，跟他还有朋友们去了Pikom Pc Fair一趟。

这已经不是第一次去了，可是每次去都只能用“人山人海”来形容。

看着大家都是大包小袋的，不知道的话还以为那些东西是不用钱的。

像我们这些在籍学生，PC  Fair无疑是一个让我们赚外快的一个好机会。

如果运气好，一天可以赚上RM200或以上。看，在场工作的可说70%以上都是学生。

不过话说回来，Pikom PC Fair可是我觉得是一个超成功的event。

怎么说呢？

那是因为他们已经不是第一次举办了，一年可是有两次（我不确定是两次还是三次），而且连续举办了很多年，在全马三至四个地方举办。。真的不是一件容易的事情，最重要是每一场都是那么多人来参观。

现场分派每个参观者一个环保袋，借以宣传环保，减少人们使用塑料袋以及乱抛宣传纸。

这里是一个“update”自己的好地方，我们可以知道最新的科技是到哪个程度了，还有最新的价钱，免得被人家说“井底之蛙”。

有很多人都是会在每场PC报到，不止满载而归那么简单，有时还会刷爆卡，真的有那么多东西买吗？还是因为抱着“人有我也要有”的心态呢？？

我不懂，但是看见每场PC Fair （不管在怡保，吉隆坡或槟城）都是爆满人潮，真的很让我疑惑。。。真的有那么多东西买吗？

4 Happy Seasons Reasturants @Wangsa Maju

Went to Four Happy Seasons Restaurants on Valentine Eve.

It is a unique and special restaurant with 4 Seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter) as the their main concept. 

 These four seasons go in a sequence year after year and these seasons represent different moods.

The 'winter' set up is maintained at 15 degree celcius, so its good to dine here during hot weather, but the light projected inside isn't as fancy as it looks as my boyfriend said he felt uncomfortable with the lighting. 

This restaurant offers reasonable price for their food and drinks but if you ask my opinion on the taste of food, I will comment “ok only”. 

We ordered Seasons Fried Fish with Milk Bee Hoon and Season Special Fried Rice.  

 Those foods look nice, but lacked in taste.

Here I want recommend the drinks that we ordered: Fresh Fruit Tea.

  It cost only RM7.80 but you may share with one or two persons.

This tea is so special with natural sweetness, nice! 

Actually this is a nice place for gathering, birthday celebration or high-tea. If you come here, don’t forget to try the fresh fruit tea, really nice!

蓬莱茶房 @Sunway Pyramid & The Garden

在Sunway Pyramid 逛街的时候遇到午餐时间，我们就努力“物色”好吃的餐厅，准备好好善待我们的“五脏府”以便待会儿能够走更长的路，逛更多间的店。

经过了好多间餐厅，都没有一间是吸引我的，最后我却被这间吸引到了----蓬莱茶房。

蓬莱茶房是我每次去The Garden， 都会看到很多人在外面排队的其中一间餐厅，但是从来就没有亲自进去过。今天我们经过两次了，店内除了坐满人潮，店外也站满了排队要进去用餐的人。就是这个原因让我很好奇地想进去品尝，想知道到底这间店的食物有什么好吃。 

就这样，我们就去排队了。

这是我们的幸运号码-4 号！

真的觉得这家店很用心，看！连排队拿号码也有那么美丽的卡片！

我们在排队的时候就可以翻开menu“讨论”待会儿要点的食物， 而且在我们排队的时候，服务员还细心地为我们捧上两杯的柑桔汁。

虽然只是一杯小小的水，却让我们对这间店多了一份归属感，感觉那边的服务生都很亲切。 他们的服务费，我可是付得心甘情愿的！

 

这间店的食物其实不是很贵，但是乍看之下，他们的饮料可是一点都不便宜哦！

一杯很普通的柑桔汁都要RM6.30, 一瓶矿泉水RM3.30, 一壶菊花乌龙茶也要RM12。。。

不过如果你是负担得起，这些都不算什么。

我们点了一个番茄炒蛋焖鱼套餐

还有一个干捞乌冬牛肉面套餐。

番茄炒炒蛋焖鱼是装在一个小锅里面， 小锅 下面是一个还在点着火的小炉， 很可爱！ 

而且食物送到很久了，小锅里的炒蛋焖鱼汁还在滚着，热腾腾的烟还不断冒出来。

 

在每个套餐里，配菜都是大同小异的。

不过最令我们喜欢的配菜就是这碗汤了！

这碗不是味精汤，而是一碗真材实料的药材鸡汤，而且里面还有很大块的鸡肉，那感觉很有妈妈的味道！

其实菜单里面还有很多台湾小食的，但是因为我们只有两个人，所以只能点两道食物而已。

这间每次店里店外都充满人潮的餐馆，是值得进去尝一尝的。如果你有机会去到The Garden或Sunway Pyramid的话，不妨有耐性地去排队然后点一些台湾小食来品尝。

Ireland's potato-@ Sunway Pyramid & Times Square

Hang out with friend to Sunway Pyramid yesterday. When we reached there, she told me that she want bring me go to somewhere to eat french fried. 

At the moment, my mind was thinking that, "har? french fried? french fried can eat at everywhere, there is nothing special, why you introduce me to eat french fried?"

End up, we came to the TGV cinema which located at the highest floor.

In front the cinema, i saw a stall- Ireland's potato (爱尔兰疯薯）.

 If your mind thinking that Ireland's potato is came from Ireland, then you are wrong！ It was actually came from Hong Kong.

Sunway Pyramid( in front TGV) is their first outlet in Malaysia, 

and now 

they opened the second outlet at Times Square (in front GSC). 

Although both the stalls opened in front cinema, but their food is not allowed to bring in, unless you are 'SMART' enough.

There are variety of sauces available for you to choose, end up we ordered Honey Mustard Potato chips (蜂蜜芥兰酱）, it cost RM8.80.

This sauce is the best selling sauce. In the picture,  the green colour flour is wasabi but it is not spicy. 

I like the sauce so much, really nice, thumb up! 

I know that some people will said " wah, so expensive! RM 8.80 just for french fried." 

But after you has a first try, I sure that you will like it and definitely will forget the RM8.80. 

 I noticed their logo there written:

Ireland's proverb says: there are two things in the world that can't be joked: 1. marriage 2, potato

I was curious about this. Why potato? Is potato so important for Ireland's people?
